Unhappy

I just wanted to report in that EB Games in my area doesn't have the Pre-Order either, they thought it would be in within the next day or so.

I then ran to game stop, literally, it is around the corner in the mall, and talked to the guy there and he told me that the pre-order kit would be available a week or two before the game went live, when I told him that the kit was released the 28th, he responded "Yes, the game is released on the 28th you can pick your kit up then".

I just shook my head, said "thanks" and went back to work, a little more depressed than when I left work.

Anet isnt supporting the international customers outside USA and EU...right its not economical, but a bit of guidance wont cost them $1.

Whereever I go..from Amazon to any UK shop..either they're shipping to USA or EU only.

So I'm an unhappy intl customer for now until the retailers have some room for us too.

pretty sure they didnt know what you meant. "pushed back to april 28th", that is the rumoured release date on everyone's online retail sites. I think they were referring to the official game not the preorder package....weird.

I think when ppl went instore to ask today. they should have brought a printout of the box. hehe. (o well. too late).

I've been checking around:
NOONE IN AMERICA HAS THEM YET. Or thats what its looking like.

And Online retailers are saying "Will ship as they come in", or don't mention them at all.

I'd understand if they said "wait a week or so, they shipped slow or something" - but these stores don't even know what we are talking about, or say they don't expect to get them til Game Release.

As of right this moment, it looks like Anet dropped the ball on the preorder situation. However, I'm going to wait a while and see what develops. Hopefully someone somewhere gets a clue and remedies the situation.

I hate to bitch (ok, I like it just a little)...EB games and I have parted ways long ago. I have tried to pre-order several games through them and have always been disappointed...the worst was when the price went up after I paid for a game and they wouldn't give it to me until I paid the difference. Legally, at the time (before their new small print disclaimer) they were in breach of contract, but I sucked it up because I wanted the game. Now they don't really carry much in they way of PC games....but here we have 2 of them now. I just go elsewhere...not just because they suck, but because they REALLY suck.

My little receipt has a little disclaimer for (2 days...something) SOOooooo, they should have my copy today, March 2nd. I'll head in there today, after some sleep. EB used to be good to me, always liked them till about 6 months ago. I think management changed because they suddenly became "user unfriendly."

Seriously, if you put a sticker over the opening crease of a game box that says the following:

"Game may be returned within in 14 days if this seal is unbroken"

You have a problem. How are you supposed to know if the game is defective till you, open the box, and try to play it? (I still like looking at that sticker going. "HUH?!")

I'm also really hacked off that I don't think I'm getting the "Preorder Package." I Preordered from EB before the press release. I think what I got was just a promised copy of the regular Factions when it comes out. If that's the case, I'm really mad because they provided me with the impression they were selling me something they actually weren't, the "Preorder Package"

in the UK it is comforting to note that GAME havent heard of the pre-order piece all they have is the april 28th notification. Amazon.co.uk havent got the pre-order listed as well as gameplay.. I love the ease of communication in the 20th century

Went to Hastings (our best place to purchase games) last week to check on the status of Factions. The personnel hadn't heard of it. The 28th, I dutifully (and excitedly) checked again. The game is in the computer system......but absolutely no word when it will arrive, even IF it will arrive until the official release date. The clerk did say that for GW the system said the same thing and they got Preorder boxes in no problem although a few days later than expected, but........I was disappointed. I'll check back next Tuesday or so.

The 2 day disclaimer means they'll call you when it comes in, and then you have 2 days from that point to pick it up or they sell it to someone else and you wait for more copies.

Also every company has the unopened policy. Its way to easy to just copy games to another disc, and return theo riginal to the store.

Well here in the UK the only way to get a pre-order atm is online, we dont get the Boxed pre-order version till March 31st ( if our main Game stores sell / have them at all by then. They didn't with GW:P hadn't even heard of the game till like a week b4 release.) but hey if i get a pre-order Great, if i don't then i don't, not really bothered to be honest, will be able to play the game soon enough.

Well this is has been interesting.

Best Buy in our area said the same thing. Not here yet.

What I find laughable is official dates of release for the pre-order to be on the shelf has no meaning, but just TRY and get your pre-ordered game from Best Buy even as little as 24 hours AHEAD of the official game release date.

Turns out a store did that, sold a game to soon, and caused massive lawsuits. So now Best Buy is terrified of the same thing happening to them and has a strict policy of not selling anything until the official date.

I won't die because its not here yet, but am very annoyed to make a trip out to the store to get that blank look from some poor confused manager's face when I said, "the official site says it was to be on the shelf today."

Oh...and last I checked with EB games website, they supposedly shipped it out on February 27th. Anyone get their package yet that ordered from them?

i'm not quite understanding what you mean. shouldn't people with and without and account be worried about getting a preorder? i'm not really into preordering computer games, but GW is the exception seeing how fun it is. if i were you, i'd get pre-orders from fry's. they tend to have a lot of them i think.
